Anime Review - Saiunkoku Monogatari

Saiunkoku Monogatari
Based on the original light novel SAIUNKOKU MONOGATARI by Sai Yukino and original art by Kairi Yura
Genres: drama, romance, supernatural
Plot Summary: Saiunkoku is a world of eight provinces or houses, each named after a different colour. The new Emperor, Shi Ryuuki, has gained for a reputation for being uninterested in courtly matters and for flaunting his love for men. Shuurei, although born of the important Kou family, has difficulty making ends meet. She easily accepts an invitation to be the Emperor's concubine in order to turn him into a good ruler. The mysterious Seiran, a young man who was adopted by her father, goes with her as Ryuuki's bodyguard. Entering the imperial palace revives Shuurei's dream of being a court official, and, together with the many companions she meets along the way, continues moving bravely forward while trying to fend off the Emperor's advances.

- *Saiunkoku Monogatari tells the tale of Kou Shuurei an ordinary lass who lives in the suburbs with her family, but her life changes quickly when she met Shi Ryuuki, The emperor with a bad attitude towards politics and everything royalty related. From there on, things has change for Shuurei; as her life won't be the same again.
Story: Saiunkoku Monogatari, giving a observation to the story it's completely circling around on historical and political matters with a little of action,drama,romance,slice of life and comedy . Though it may be like that but Saiunkoku story's is exceptional, it may start slow but as the time goes by it gets more intense and the feelings of the characters will start. The story itself has a theme of "Feminism" as the story progresses, it can be serve as a true inspiration to female viewers. Saiunkoku story is wonderful and appealing to both male and female viewers of all ages.
Animation Art/Voice : The way Saiunkoku was drawn is truly fantastic. It's appealing to the naked eye and enticing. The voices are fabulous, it brings out the true characters within the way the light novel has describe.
Overall Rating and Impact: Saiunkoku Monogatari will leave you breathless. The story, art and voice is exceptional. It's so close to become a truly epic Shojo anime; while the light novel is still on going when the anime was made, it leaved a huge "question mark" in the end
Rating 4.5/5 - It's so close to perfection but the ending has left a huge "???". But still the light novel and the 78 episode anime adaptation is VERY GOOD.

Here's the second version opening for the second half of the anime...it's in chinese haha but it's good...
