[ANIME REVIEW] GINTAMA

(NOTE: I'm not an expert when it comes to reviews. Frankly, this is one of my first anime reviews ever wrote. So bare with the grammar and stuffs! PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT!)

GINTAMA (Silver Soul)

Gintama is all about a samurai named Sakata Gintoki, a lazy, white natural perm haired guy living in an age where samurai have been deemed unnecessarily by Amanto or aliens who has taken over Edo (or Japan that time.) As far as I can say or tell, that's what the story revolves in. But then you will probably won't care because this anime is hilarious! The characters are funny, the situation where they are is utterly ridiculous, and adding the parodies of any other anime is what makes Gintama special and interesting.

What I think!
PLOT:
As I mentioned above, there isn't much for the storyline. The story arcs are short, ranging to 1-2 and more episodes but are weird, strange and funny in it's own way.

CHARACTERS:
For what I believed in, characters are the main factor why this anime makes it awesome, funny and enjoyable. From our white permed Samurai Gintoki, umbrella wielding alien Kagura (and her big sized dog, Sadaharu) and the straight glasses wearing guy, Shinpachi Shimura, everyone has it's own uniqueness. Eventhough other characters are not shown always, you can easily set them apart from the rest because of their own traits.

SOUNDS:
Openings and Endings are good and catchy. They make you want to listen to them. The voice actors are great and portrays they're characters very well. (Especially Gintoki! Tomokazu Sugita!)

ENJOYMENT:
Well, this anime makes me laugh out loud LITERALLY! Makes me fell out of my chair several times, and made my mom angry at me because of my loudness while watching, that's what enjoyment, I think? XD

OVERALL:
If you love comedy, then you will love this anime. Even though there aren't a solid romance into it, I find this amazing to run a show like that and I even don't mind. If you aren't well informed with other anime, you will miss several jokes, but overall, you will enjoy it, after all, this is one of my favorite anime.
