Good News for Date A Live fans out there! The final episode of the current Date A Live television anime series aired on Friday with an announcement that production on a second season has been green-lit. The original light novel series' author Koushi Tachibana also made the announcement.


The story centers on an ordinary high school boy named Shidō Itsuka who meets a spirit girl who has been rejected by a devastated world. The girl, who Shidō names "Tohka," happens to have wiped out much of humanity 30 years ago, and now she is back. The only way to stop her is to date her.


Funimation has been streaming the anime in North America as it airs in Japan.

Judging from Date A Live, it will indeed have a second season since it has more than 5 tankobons and the anime has good reviews. Though I haven't watch it yet but I can know it's a good series by it's synopsis
